Management Responsibilities
Models good customer service and acts as a positive role model for excellent customer service practices.
Trains and empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.
Resolves customer complaints in a courteous, businesslike and timely manner.
Provided District Manager or Recruiter with current and future hiring needs.
Uses recruitment techniques to attract potential new employees.
Utilize all tools for selection process when hiring for the store.
Complete and submit hire package and personnel change forms accurately and timely.
Ensures new store employee is trained properly.
Conduct regular meetings with employees to enhance communication and teamwork.
Conducts regularly scheduled employee performance reviews and discussion.
Prepares work schedule and post in advance
Provides clear and consistent direction and expectation to employees
Ensures store image per company standards.
Provides timely motivational feedback and coaching to employees
Counsels and documents employees as necessary in a timely and appropriate manner
Monitor orders to insure in-stock efficiency.
Train and develop employees including Assistant Manager
Reviews management reports and takes appropriate action to insure balanced inventories.
Verifies deliveries to ensure accuracy of order.
Ensures quality and freshness of products through proper rotation, ordering, and proper monitoring of codes and temperatures.
Ensures accurate and visible pricing of products.
Merchandise product according to guidelines or layout.
Provides feedback to District Manager, Merchandising Department; Gasoline, and other personnel as appropriate on sales and profit opportunities. Supplies accurate competitive information to departments.
Ensures appropriate state, local, or company guidelines are followed (including required records).
Adhere to government regulations (ADA, Environmental, Wage and Hour, EEO guidelines, food stamp sales, and local tax requirements).
Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork (cash report, control book, payroll, deli inventories, price changes, promotional markups and markdowns, gas surveys, environmental records, retailing tickets, other PDI information).
Ensure all employees follow inventory and cash control procedures.
Ensures all safety and security procedures are followed.
Controls labor within established guidelines
Manages other expenses within established guidelines.
Develops Assistant Manager
Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned to accommodate store operational needs.
Job Requirements:
21 years of age or older
Valid Driver’s License
Access to a car or other motorized vehicle
Liability insurance on such vehicle
Home telephone
High School diploma, GED, or previous experience
Availability to work any shift or day
Minimum 52-hour workweek
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication)
